The same day that we baked Spring cookies we had hamburgers for dinner. Mmmm mmm….I love hamburgers! In them they had onions, baby bella mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, spicy mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, and of course some real burger meat on a whole wheat bun. We had them with two of my favorite sides…dill pickles and salt & vinegar chips. They are way better than kid’s menu burgers at restaurants. Boy! I love my family for cooking these. Mmm mm!

Yesterday, me, my mom and my brother baked and decorated Spring cookies. My mom made the dough while we were at our afterschool class and when we came home they were ready to be shaped. We took turns rolling the dough and cutting out shapes. It was really fun. Once the first batch was ready to be decorated we started decorating. I spent one to two hours decorating cookies until I wanted a break. My brother decorated a few cookies and then went on to playing Legos. I was still there decorating cookies until a while on I wanted a break but it wasn’t really a break, it was more like stopping and then my mom finished the rest.

Monday, me and my brother did a fashion show. We picked out clothes from my mom and dad’s closet and put them on. My mom liked some of the outfits so much she even took pictures so that she could wear them. Now I’m her stylist for some days. My aunt was there to see it too. She was visiting our house. Here are some pictures of some of the outfits:

Yesterday at my Easter party with the Willey’s, the Willey’s gave us a Create-A-Bear kit that they did not want. When I came home that evening I immediately started. First I sewed the two sides of the bear…

Unfortunately, I only got to finishing the stuffing and trying to sew the hole up because then I had to go to bed. The next morning I continued. This time my mom helped me sew up the hole and then I got to making the clothes. I ironed stuff that needed to be ironed on and I even decorated with colored glue…

My bear came out to look like this:

Here is her birth certificate:

I like the sweet poem that is shown on the birth certificate.

Note: This writing came from my morning journal today.

Yesterday was Easter. We went to Martha and Jasper’s house (they are our friends). They were hosting and Easter lunch with us and one other family. It was so much fun. I played four games and only finished three of them. I finished Whonu, Apples to Apples, and one other that I don’t know the name of. I did not finish Life Twists and Turns. I think my favorite games in order are 1) Whonu, 2) Life Twists and Turns, 3) Apples to Apples (because I won) and 4) the game I forgot it’s name. For lunch, we had mashed potatoes, bread, macaroni & cheese, ham, salad, quiche, snap peas, brownies and cookies. It was the best Easter ever.

Friday, me and my brother colored Easter eggs.We each had our own coloring kit. Mine was Dudley’s Magic Crayon. Dante’s was Star Wars. We each had a lot of fun and decorated them with stickers. Dante’s had special things (i don’t know what they’re called) that you put around the egg and put them in hot water and then the wrapper shrinks around the egg and looks like a picture is on the egg. It is really cool. Dante even let me have one of them because it was so cool. Here are some pictures of the process:

On Palm Sunday this year we went to church like we usually do. The Sunday school class had a lot of children. The funnest part was that at the end we got to get palm tree branches. Here’s a picture of how we put them in our apartment. They’re on my mom’s sewing basket. As you see, they’re drying up, but I hope they stay until Easter.
